Grandpa T-Rex...
...likes talking about the 'good old days'.

Sunday, 28 March 2010

This coming week there'll be 7 - count 'em - 7 new 'Grandpa T-Rex' cartoons; one for every day of the week, and they're all already finished so it's a guarantee there won't be a day missed. All of them are funny, and one you'll hopefully find a bit sad as well. They start tomorrow so be sure to stop by every day just after noon to see what the cranky old carnivore is complaining about. Think of it as visiting your prehistoric grandad...

UPDATE: Grandpa T-Rex will now run for TWO WEEKS, with a new cartoon every day. That's (counts quickly) 14 new cartoons! That should certainly please the old Cretacean codger.

"If I only had a..."

Nowadays men and women have boob jobs and nose jobs and all manner of bodily enhancements and adjustments, so it seems logical to me that the Tin Man might, if he went to a plastic surgeon, want a bigger funnel. No, wait, hang on, it wouldn't be a plastic surgeon. It would have to be some sort of metal-worker. An ironsmith. But then the joke wouldn't really work...

The Return of Grandpa T-Rex!

Grandpa T-Rex...

...is a bit racist.

It's been a while since the first couple of Grandpa T-Rex cartoons (handily labelled so you can check them out if you've forgotten about them); the series all about an old, curmudgeonly, early Cretaceous dinosaur living in a late Cretaceous world. But good news! He'll be appearing a lot more often from now on, because he's very, very easy to draw and jokes about the elderly are ten a penny. He's basically like your grandad, except a T-Rex. What's not to love?

Life in the Fridge...

It was always a common question when I was a kid and it's one that's been asked since the dawn of fridgedom - 'does the light in the fridge go off when I shut the door?'. Of course, the answer is yes, or how else would the food get any sleep? But think about it, if you were a refridgerated item, wouldn't you wonder if the lights outside your chilly box went off when the door was closed? No? Oh, just me then...
