I love vintage movie posters - the ones back when each one was a work of art, no matter how crappy the movie was - and I especially like the ones from the terrible (and not terrible) Sci-Fi and B-movies of the 50s and 60s. Stuff like Robinson Crusoe on Mars (featuring Adam West and a monkey!), The War of the Worlds, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and the Brain that Wouldn't Die. I also have a space on my wall I need to fill. But have you seen how expensive some of these original posters can be? Well I didn't fancy spending several thousand pounds on a poster, so I decided to make my own. So in the coming days keep an eye out for 'MONKEY FROM BEYOND THE STARS', my own tribute to the kind of film you'd see on Mystery Science Theatre 3000. I'm turning it into a poster for my wall and who knows, I might even raffle one off or something... I dunno...
All the best blog-fans!
